(31) R-Strategist
- R-strategists
are species with a small, shorter lifespan. They produce many offspring,
although a large majority does not survive. The R-strategists increase the
possibility of survival by their large population of offspring. Insects are a
common example of r-strategists, maturing fast without a stable population.
